Lorem Located on fashionable Henry Street in the heart of Lytham in northwest England, Chicory Restaurant first opened its doors in 2002 and has since become the place to be seen when dining out in Lytham.
With an impressive range of dishes on offer for lunch and dinner, contemporary Mediterranean décor throughout the restaurant, and a friendly service, Chicory is a great place to eat out whatever the time of day; just ask the celebrities who frequent the venue when they are feeling peckish.
The lunch menu, which includes starters such as fresh steamed mussels and homemade Gravadlax with Irish soda bread, and main courses like warm beef Thai salad and Sicilian-style pappardella pasta, is available from 12pm to 2pm seven days a week.
The dinner menu, which is available from 6pm seven days a week, includes tempting dishes like lemon myrtle spiced Australian prawns for starters, and seared tuna on roasted plum tomatoes with a rocket and mascarpone mashed potatoes as a main course. There is also a table d’hote menu at £18.95, which includes baked half avocado with sun-dried tomato and pine kernels for starters and chargrilled gammon steak for a main course.
Chicory Restaurant also has a fine selection of homemade desserts, including passion fruit crème brulee, and summer berry crepe suzette, which is flamed at your table. If all that isn’t enough then you might also like to pay a visit to Sweet Chicory on Dicconson Terrace, Lytham, a patisserie and delicatessen offering delights such as chocolate and hazelnut praline crepes and toasted croissants.
The Chicory Group also run an outside catering company, Outside Chicory, offering everything from canapés to banquets, and Flambe, a stylish champagne and cocktail bar located above the restaurant. The restaurant gets very busy, particularly at weekends, so it is advisable to book your table in advance.
